Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to file the appeal myself?

No. Send us your property address through our short form. Our tax team reviews your assessment for free and, if you’re over-assessed, files and manages the entire appeal for you, for both residential and commercial property.

I'm already an Incenter Tax Solutions client. Do I need to do anything?

No. We review your property again every year. If you receive a new assessment notice from your county, please upload it here (commercial owners can use the commercial upload page) so our team has your latest values.

How early should I contact you?

As early as possible, ideally as soon as your assessment notice arrives. Our team needs time to review your property and prepare the filing before the deadline.

Where do I find my exact deadline?

It’s usually printed on your assessment or value notice. You can also send us your address and we’ll confirm the deadline for your property.

Is the deadline different for commercial property?

Usually the date is the same. A few states use a different route or date for commercial property, such as Michigan (Tax Tribunal by May 31) and New Jersey (properties assessed over $1 million can go directly to Tax Court). For a commercial review, we also ask for your rent roll and operating expenses.

What if my deadline has already passed?

Send us your address anyway. Some states offer late or alternative options, and in most places the next appeal window opens within a year. Once your property is in our system, we review it every year.

Does Incenter Tax Solutions handle appeals in every state?

We serve property owners throughout the United States except Texas.

How current is this information?

These deadlines were last updated in October 2026. Laws and local dates change, so we confirm your exact deadline when we review your property.

This page is general information, not legal or tax advice. Deadlines and rules change, and local offices may set different dates. Always confirm your deadline with your assessment notice, or send us your address and we’ll confirm it for your property. Last updated October 2026.

Don’t Let Your Deadline Pass

Tell us your address and we’ll tell you whether your property taxes are fair. You pay our fee only if we win the appeal.
